WHAT IS A LITERARY MAGAZINE?!
A literary magazine is a publication that is dedicated to poetry, short stories, art, and more! They also are known as literary journals. Most of them are physical but there are some exceptions including bigEMOTONS. Some well known literary magazines include The New Yorker, Praire Schooner, and UNL's Laurus. Most of the companies that make these fun works are nonprofits, including us. We do accept donations though...

Who are the Empaths? Well that would be us! We are the people who run the bigEMOTIONS literary magazine! We are a team of four who have all been assigned to create a literary journal for our Editing and Publishing Class at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Empaths decided on creating bigEMOTIONS and calling ourselves "The Empaths" to showcase any work that shows what it really means to be human. And that of course is having very big emotions. As the four people who read/recieve all the submissions for this project we decided to call ourselves the Empaths. Also because it's funny.
